Choosing the stone

Choosing the stone is a process of mutual connection. Before choosing your stone empty your mind and ask for guidance. You will be surprised when you read about the healing properties of the piece you instinctively feel attracted to as they will  be  exactly what you need. Caring for your crystal is essential for receiving the benefits of their healing properties.

 

Cleansing & Programming

Cleansing is an important part of caring for your stone. When the stone gets dense with stored energy wash it under cold water and reprogram. You should do this once every month. A good time for this is during full moon.
Programming the stone is done after your initial connection. You can initiate your stone with the given information and personalize it to your liking. Ask the stone to do the work for you.
There are a multitude of methods which have been utilized for crystal care, but of prime importance is your intent.
The following provides several examples of workable techniques. Crystals absorb energies, thus they must be cleansed regularly to release these energies to the light. Cleansed crystals can strongly emanate their own frequencies hence are invaluable tools for healing. 
• Visualization-imagine golden white light from Source, pouring through the crystal and cleansing it of all energies not aligned with Light & Love.
• Crystals that are not friable or jointed can be held under running water or immersed in the sea or in salt water (check compatibility of your stone with salt, avoid with silver) as you do so, hold the intention that all negativity will be washed away and the crystal reenergized. Also, on the night of the Full Moon, you can expose the stones under the moonlight to recharge them and then program them the following morning.
• Certain crystals have the ability to cleanse other crystals. Keep a Carnelian in a bag of tumbled stones and you will never need to cleanse them using any other method.
• Your  jewelry as well as your crystals can be placed on a Clear Quartz cluster or an Amethyst cluster and left overnight
• You can smudge crystals with incense, palo santo, sage or pass them through the light from a candle
• Soak the stones in flowers, e.g. rose petals, orange blossoms, frangipani or honeysuckle, etc. for 24 hours; the flower essences strip  away any negativity thereby cleansing the stones

Anna personally handpicks and sources her crystals from around the world. The stones originate from Italy, Burma, Thailand, India, and Pakistan for ethnic pieces, South Africa, Australia, China, Russia, and Africa. Anna built up a trusting relationship with her suppliers since 20 years of purchasing stones. She keeps refining her taste and is becoming more selective about the quality of the stones.
