UNVEILING THE POWER OF CRYSTALS

A Journey into Presence, Intuition, and Self-Discovery

In your life, have you gathered stones along the way on your countryside family trips, or up in the mountains, or alone on your travels? What is it that we look for when we do that, what are we ultimately looking for, when we pick up a crystal and a stone for ourselves?

In my attempt to respond to that question for you, I could express myself with a thousand words and movements of excitement, like an explosion of a colorful piñata, but I think I found someone that explains that easier and allows me to say, crystal clear, simple and direct.

I would like to share his words here with you. Some of you may already have heard his name, read some quotes, maybe have studied his books or watched him on YouTube videos and seminars; others may have already changed their concept of life and evolved spiritually thanks to this incredible amazing alien-man: ECKHART TOLLE.

(For those of you that have not heard of him yet, just like me two years ago, I can assure you Eckhart Tolle is now your new best friend and possibly mentor; he wrote many bestselling books, incredible guides for personal development and growth that I suggest for your read).

In his “New Earth. Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose” Tolle explains:

“Seeing beauty in a flower could awaken humans, the first recognition of beauty was one of the most significant events in the evolution of human consciousness. The feelings of joy and love are intrinsically connected to that recognition. What could be heavier and more impenetrable than a rock, the densest of all forms? And yet some rocks undergo a change in their molecular structure, turn into crystals, and so become transparent to the light. Some carbons, under inconceivable heat and pressure, turn into diamonds, and some heavy minerals into other precious stones. (…)

Since time immemorial, flowers, crystals, and birds have held special significance for the human spirit.

Like all life-forms, they are, of course, temporary manifestations of the underlying one Life, one Consciousness. Their special significance and the reason why humans feel such fascination for and affinity with them can be attributed to their ethereal quality.

Once there is a certain degree of Presence, of still and alert attention in human beings perception, they can sense the divine life essence, the one indwelling consciousness or spirit in every creature, every life-form, recognize it as one with their essence and so love it as themselves.

Until this happens, however, most humans see only the outer forms, unaware of the inner essence, just as they are unaware of their essence and identity only with their physical and psychological body.

In the case of a flower, a crystal, a precious stone, or bird, however, even someone with little or no Presence can occasionally sense that there is more than the mere physical existence of that form, without knowing that this is the reason why he or she is drawn toward it, feels an affinity with it. (…)

So when you alert and contemplate a flower, crystal or bird without naming it mentally, it becomes a window for you into the formless. There is an inner opening, however slight, into the realm of spirit.

This is why these three enlightened life-forms have played such an important part in the evolution of human consciousness since ancient times; for example, the jewel in the lotus flower is a central symbol of Buddhism, and the white bird, the dove, signifies the Holy Spirit in Christianity. They have been preparing the ground for a more profound shift in planetary consciousness that is destined to take place in the human species. This is the spiritual awakening that we are beginning to witness now.” E.T.

This inspired me to understand what crystals represent for us. They are amazing tools. Tools that reconnect us to some sort of Presence and make us feel part of the beautiful Universe we live in. Crystals are the DNA record keepers of the Earth, as visible in their layers evolved for million years, recording all changes and interactions of the elements in the soil of Planet Earth.

As human beings, we have an innate attraction for crystals, especially evident in the reactions of our young ones, our kids. They react and interact with them out of pure instinct, using a sort of “primordial connection” that we, as adults, have forgotten.

Kids have the purest energy; they say what they think and speak what they see. In my opinion, this is because their intentions are free from the structures that an adult mind inevitably wears from age 8 onward.

We had the most exciting experience in the beautiful and enchanted Desa Seni this March (An Eco Village Resort and Yoga Center in Bali www.desaseni.com). We participated in the Yogathon “Celebration of Life 2017” as sponsors and as members of the beautiful conscious Balinese community to educate and raise funds about HIV.

Joyful colored souls spread awareness in an exchange of energy, smiles, flowers, coconuts, amazing yoga classes, meditations, the intense perfume of a day to spend in a safe magical place. Blessed.

But what amazed me the most were the kids. As a therapist, a guide, and a helping hand into choosing crystals for our clients, I often have to explain what crystals do and how to choose the right one.

Kids do not need that. They know exactly what they are drawn to; they have that pure, CLEAN, immediate intuition. Kids can easily, without explanation, express things such as: “I want this! I need this! Wow, so beautiful but that’s not for me, I like this one! I feel like I want to hold it. I feel like I want to bring it with me in my pocket; he’s my friend.” Kids are free, free flow of unconditional thoughts as long as it lasts. The connection is immediate.

Our thought is condensed, and our mind is an intricate thick layer. Our thoughts are like wafers! We are influenced by our education, the culture of the country we live in, our family imprinting, pre-existing patterns, our life experiences, books, music, social class, work, emotional path, ancestors, past lives, and everything else that can seed in us an aspect, a shade of a color, that belongs to our body as much as to our soul.

On top of that, there is also another aspect that we are affected by, called the collective consciousness: feelings of anger, insecurity, anxiety, jealousy, fear, and more that do not belong to us in the first place but can eventually be “picked up” from us and become our traveling partners for some time, whether it be a second, ten minutes, or years.

Crystals may free you from the unhealthy thoughts of the “collective consciousness” I referred to and help, on the other side, to connect in the “universal consciousness” and deepen connection with yourself and your soul.

The reason why I feel I can suggest anyone, anywhere, own a crystal and connect with it is because crystals, in the end, free you from patterns and feelings that no longer serve you, all to welcome new, healthier ones, to see things differently, possibly more clear than before. They help in your evolution.

What does it mean to say that Crystals have Presence? It means they have life essence; they bond to this Universal Life Force, to Energy and a wave of electrical impulses, which they are natural conductors and amplifiers of.

What does it mean to have an affinity for them? It means they awaken our curiosity to hold one or own one.

They can help us to work on ourselves, connect deeper and work on layers of our life, mind, and body.

As tools to connect to your “true self,” they are almost like a “button”; if clicked, they unveil what is truly yours and what isn’t, and make you see what you can work on, to become the best human being version of You.

Who wouldn’t want to try to press that button?
